Sir Wanabi is a modern type with an incredibly level head, powerful elastic gaits. Wanabi started his career in 2006 in the Hunter ring to great success. In 2007 he debuted in the jumper ring and competed in the 5 yr old young horse jumper development. He won 2 classes and was consistently placed in the top five. In 2007 he participated in the 100 Day Test at Paxton Farm and finished with overall score of 117.25. He also received a perfect score for his temperament.
